Restoration

Restoration at N MT Park

Since 1999, ongoing long-term restoration work at North Mountain Park has been directed toward improving wildlife habitat quality and diversity and engaging citizens in active stewardship. The main focus currently is controlling invasive non-native plants followed by propagation and planting of native trees, shrubs and perennials both at North Mountain Park and at other city park sites. VOLUNTEERS can participate in a variety of restoration efforts coordinated through the Nature Center.
