2)  DEMONSTRATION GARDENS
Title: GARDENER

“Green thumbs” or beginning garden volunteers are always needed to help in the Demonstration Gardens any Wednesday morning in May or June, 10am — noon -OR- 9 —11am, in July or August. Or call 541-488-6606 to schedule other times. Tools, snacks and guidance provided. Monthly mini-workshops presented the 3rd Wednesdays each month by Jackson County Master Gardener Association.

3)  SITE HISTORY RESEARCH
Opens: November 2007
Closes: May 2009
N Mt Park Nature Center before renovations Title: Historical research pertaining to the North Mountain Park (NMP) site

Responsibilities: Will review existing research and photos to determine gaps in the existing record. Will conduct further research in an effort to pull together a description of how the NMP site was used from pre-historic times through the present (including the original Donation Land Claim and other titles to the land).

Qualifications: An interest in local history, basic research and computer skills

Time Commitment: 1 - 10 hours per week for 1 - 6 months

Training: NMP staff will describe all existing documents related to the project and will go over the basics of using office equipment such as the scanner, copier, etc. as needed.

4)  COLLECTION COMMITTEE
Opens: November 2007
Closes: ongoing
Title: Collection Committee Member

Responsibilities: Attend quarterly meetings in addition to being actively involved in helping to accession and inventory the Nature Center's collection of biological specimens and cultural artifacts

Qualifications: Data entry or library experience helpful but not required

Time Commitment: Minimum of 5 hours per month

Training: Will occur in all areas related to the Collection
